— Dr. and Mrs. William C. Nickle will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, with an open house from 1:30-4:30 p.m. today, Sept. 2, 2012. with their family at the Friendship Senior Center, 1307 Pearl St. in Covington, Ind.
William “Bill” Nickle and Linda K. Moudy were united in marriage on Aug. 31, 1962, at the Benson Chapel United Methodist Church, U.S. Route 136, Warren County, Covington.
The couple has resided in Hillsboro, Ind., Lakewood and Lafayette, Colo., Kingman, Ind., Greenville, S.C., and now at 5953 W. U.S. Route 136, Covington, IN 47932.
They are the parents of four sons, Dan (Lisa) and Ken of Covington, Joe (Christy) of Veedersburg, Ind., and Jim (Rochelle) of Muskegon, Mich.
They are the grandparents of eight granddaughters, Taylor J., Brittany A., Bailey A., Storie A., Zoie D., Abby M., Lexy K., and Raina F. They have two grandsons, Colby W. of Indiana and Lucas K. of Michigan and one step-grandson, Wesley J. Youhas of Danville.
Bill is the pastor of the Grace Baptist Church in Attica, Ind., and is retired from Transport Services in Lafayette, Ind. Linda is a homemaker and is retired from the United States Postal Service.
