— Congratulations to Larry and Linda Farnum, formerly of Catlin, who will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on March 7, 2014!
Linda and Larry met on a blind date in 1963 and tied the knot the following year at Methodist Church in Covington, Ind., by the Rev. Don Ashley.
They are blessed with four wonderful children: Pam Steinsdoerfer of Champaign (married to Kenny Steinsdoerfer, with two children, Ryan Martin and Ashley Frantz), Saundra Alcorn of Danville (married to Vaughn Alcorn with two children, Austin Alcorn and Autumn Alcorn), David Farnum of San Diego, Calif. (married to Kaja Farnum) and April Farnum of Denver, Colo.
Larry retired from Central Foundry and Linda retired from the Veterans Administration. Upon retirement, they moved to the family’s vacation home on Kentucky Lake in Gilbertsville, Ky., where they built a new house. They enjoy their days gardening, fishing, boating, taking long walks and often hosting get-togethers with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Linda and Larry will celebrate their anniversary in Southern California with their immediate family.
