Mr. and Mrs. W. Arthur Petty of Covington, Ind., will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with a trip to Florida in February.
W. Arthur Petty and Helen Schafer were married by the Rev. Art Bowser at Emmanuel United Methodist Church in West Terre Haute, Ind., on Dec. 30, 1967.
Arthur is a retired biology teacher, and Helen is a retired home economics teacher.
The couple has two sons, Scott (Jennifer) Petty of Lafayette, Ind., and James (Robyn) Petty of Covington, Ind. They also have four grandchildren, Macenzie and Ethan Petty and Meghann and Marissa Stroud.
